A horrific attack occurred at a Church of the Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku town, Kwara State, leaving worshippers dead and many others traumatised.

Eyewitnesses reported that armed bandits, carrying guns, swords, and other weapons, stormed the church during a service, firing sporadically and causing panic among the congregation.

The attack, which was captured on a live camera installed in the church, is believed to have been carried out by a group of bandits who targeted the church in an attempt to kidnap, kill, and steal.

The church service was disrupted, and worshippers, including elderly women, adults, and children, were caught in the crossfire.

Further details on the attack are still emerging, as sources revealed that the bandits fired sporadically on the congregation immediately they gained access to the church. The church was in the middle of a service when the attack occurred.

“The pastor and some members were kidnapped and taken into the bush, and their whereabouts are currently unknown,” sources said.

The motive behind the attack is still unclear, but the incident has sent shockwaves through the community and raised concerns about the safety and security of places of worship. Ho efforts to get police report on this development proof abortive as at the time of filing this reports.
