The Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT) is set to host its historic book launch on Wednesday, 13 August 2025, at the Yar’Adua International Conference Center, Central Business District, Abuja, and the event is expected to draw prominent Nigerians from various fields.

Authored by eminent historian Prof. Siyan Oyeweso, the book titled ‘Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society: The First 25 Years’, captured NASFAT’s remarkable journey of spiritual leadership, humanitarian service, and transformative societal engagement since its inception in 1995.

According to Alhaji Shamsideen Owolabi Oseni, National Public Relations Secretary of the Organisation, the pace-setting global Islamic organisation with over 360 branches worldwide, NASFAT, has impacted lives far beyond Nigeria’s borders, blending spiritual guidance with charitable initiatives that address education, healthcare, women empowerment, and youth development.

He stated that earlier this year, NASFAT drew nationwide attention with its widely acclaimed 30th Anniversary Lecture in Lagos, delivered by former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) and chaired by legal luminary Wale Babalakin (SAN).

He stressed that the Abuja event will match and even surpass that prestige, bringing together an impressive roster of dignitaries.

“Among those expected are His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs as Chief Host of the event; Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf (President of NASFAT) as the Host of the event; Alhaji Abdul-Lateef Olasupo, Chairman, NASFAT Board of Trustees; Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, Chief Missioner of NASFAT; and Alhaji Yinus Saliu, Chairman, NASFAT National Council of Elders. Also attending are Alhaja Moji Hafsa Bello, Chairman, NASFAT History Book Editorials; Alhaja Ganiyat Omowunmi Babalola, National Women Affairs Secretary; and Prof. Siyan Oyeweso, Pro-Chancellor and Governing Council Chairman, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, who also served as the book’s consultant.

“The Book Reviewer will be Prof. Mahfouz A. Adedimeji, Vice Chancellor of the African School of Economics (The Pan-African University of Excellence, Abuja).

“The history book is expected to unveil NASFAT’s founding vision, early challenges, and defining milestones, as well as profiles of pioneering leaders, expansion highlights, and archival photographs. Readers will gain insight into how NASFAT’s values have shaped communities both locally and globally.

“Planning is under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim B. Bello (Chairman) and Prince Lekan Olasupo (Secretary, National Youth). This historic gathering will celebrate NASFAT’s 30-year legacy and its enduring commitment to faith, leadership, and national unity,” Alhaji Oseni said.
