The National Public Relations Officer for the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Assistant Comptroller Abdullahi Maiwada PhD has been selected among 41 exceptional Nigerians to be recognized for their silent dedication and contributions to national development by the Nigeria Silent Heroes Awards (NSH Awards) organisers.
The seventh edition of the Nigeria Silent Heroes Awards (NSHA) ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 14 June 2025, at the Wells Carlton Hotels, Asokoro, Abuja.
According to the Project Coordinator of the NSHA Initiative, Mrs Ozioma Sonia Odita-Sunday, the idea is about values—decency, honesty, and a commitment to the common good. “These awards remind us that patriotism isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it’s found in those who simply show up every day and do what’s right,” she said.
When I saw the picture above, I was like ‘Big Boss, you deserved this, man, Honestly!’ I’m still in awe that you’re among the selected outstanding individuals to be awarded.
This is because Maiwada’s tireless efforts in promoting a positive image of the Nigeria Customs Service, fostering effective communication between the Service and the public, and upholding ethical conduct, under the visionary leadership of the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, have truly earned him this recognition.
