Comptroller MS Shuaibu Assumes Duty at FOU Zone A, Vows to Leverage Expertise

Comptroller Mohammed Salisu Shuaibu on Wednesday, 23 April 2025, took over helms of Leadership as 28th Area Controller of Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone A, Ikeja Lagos, with the commitment to bring his wealth of experience to bear.

This was in a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, Chief Superintendent of Customs, Hussaini Abdullahi.

According to the statement, the new helmsman pledged to navigate the complexities of the Unit with his proficiency while speaking at a brief hand- over ceremony in Lagos.

Comptroller Shuaibu solicited the support and maximum cooperation of Officers and Men of the Unit to deliver on the mandates of the Service.

He also emphasized the importance of adhering to the service’s seven 7 Golden Rules (7Cs) to always guide the actions and decisions of officers.

The new Area Controller expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and the Comptroller General of Customs, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, for the opportunity to serve as Area Controller of FOU A and voiced optimism that the unit will excel in its mandates.

Comptroller Shuaibu, a seasoned officer per excellence and anti-smuggling Czar, who has always placed Economic Saboteurs where they belong, has worked and served in different capacities across several customs formations.

Earlier, the out-going Controller of the Unit, Comptroller Kolapo Oladeji, urged the new Comptroller to maintain the Unit’s momentum by keeping the flag flying and expressed confidence in his ability to enhance the efficiency of the Unit.

Oladeji thanked the CGC and the management team for the opportunity to serve the Service and appreciated the officers and men’s support.
