The Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, has called on Christians to honor the Easter spirit by upholding integrity and good character.
In his Easter message on Sunday, Adeniyi emphasized the importance of patriotism and avoiding actions that undermine national development.
He highlighted Christ’s sacrifice as a reminder of the importance of freedom, righteousness and future and also condemned illicit trade and actions that undermine the national value.
The Customs Boss called on all actors in the industry to choose integrity for a greater Nigeria.
“This Easter, we are reminded that Christ paid the ultimate price for our freedom, our righteousness, and our future.
“Illicit trade and actions that undermine our nation’s values are a betrayal of that sacrifice. Let us build, not break. Let us uphold, not undermine. CHOOSE INTEGRITY, CHOOSE A GREATER NIGERIA. HONOR THE CROSS WITH YOUR CHARACTER. On behalf of the Officers and Men of the Nigeria Customs Service, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, wishes you a Happy Easter Celebration,” the message reads.
