Comptroller Benedict Oramalugo, PhD, has taken the reins as the new Customs Area Controller of the Seme Area Command, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), following the retirement of his predecessor.
With a wealth of experience and strong commitment to effective border management and trade facilitation, Dr. Oramalugo officially assumed duty on February 11, 2025.
During the handover ceremony, Deputy Comptroller Enforcement, DC Istifanus D. Musa, welcomed Comptroller Oramalugo and assured him of the commitment, support, and cooperation of all officers within the Command.
In his takeover speech, Comptroller Oramalugo expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Officers and pledged to maintain an open door policy, urging them to enhance their capacities to move the Command and the Service forward.
Prior to this appointment, Comptroller Oramalugo served as the Customs Area Controller of the Oyo/Osun Command, where he achieved significant successes in revenue generation and anti-smuggling operations. He was also recognized as the outstanding Controller of the Year 2024 at the CGCs December Award.
