The Ogun 1 Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has decorated and honoured it’s Sixty (60) newly promoted Officers and Men at the Command’s House, Idiroko, on Wednesday, 29 January 2025, recognizing their hard-work, commitment, resilience.
During the ceremony, Customs Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller MS Shuaibu congratulated the newly promoted Officers and Men, urging them to rededicate themselves to serving the nation.
He emphasized that their new ranks signify responsibility, leadership, and a call to duty to serve Nigeria with integrity, courage, and selflessness.
His words, “I want to congratulates our newly promoted officers and men. Your promotion is a recognition of your professionalism, dedication, and outstanding performance. It is also a reflection of the Service’s confidence in your ability to take on greater responsibilities and deliver even more in your respective roles.
“Promotions are not handed out lightly, they are earned. The rigorous selection process ensures that only those who meet the highest standards of competence, integrity, and commitment are chosen. You have proven yourselves worthy of this honour, and I urge you to see this promotion as a call to even greater service to the nation.“As you wear your new ranks today, remember that every stripe, badge, and insignia signify responsibility and leadership. It is not just a symbol of authority but also a call to duty to serve Nigeria with integrity, courage, and selflessness. The expectations of the Service, the nation, and the public are now even higher.
“You are not just representatives of the Nigeria Customs Service; you are role models for your colleagues, subordinates, and the communities we serve. Let your conduct always reflect the core values of the Service: integrity, diligence, and patriotism.
“Be exemplary Leaders, remain dedicated to our mandate and embrace continuous learning,” he advised.
Comptroller Shuaibu also expressed gratitude to the Comptroller General of Customs, CGC Adewale Adeniyi and the entire management of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS)for their commitment to staff welfare and career progression.
The decoration ceremony was attended by the Comptroller Immigration, Commander NDLEA, Rep Director DSS, and esteemed guests of Idiroko Community.
