Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has launched the second phase of the non-interest loan Community Revolving Funds (CRF) to support 101 communities across the state’s 17 local government areas.

The loan scheme, worth $2,595,000, aims to boost agricultural development and enhance economic prosperity in rural communities.

Governor Buni emphasized that the loan is an investment sourced by the state government to support communities and farming groups in expanding agricultural development and managing their environment effectively.

He urged the benefiting communities and farmer groups to take ownership of the funds and utilize them for the intended purpose, justifying the government’s investment in the project.

The State Coordinator of Agro Climate Resilience in semi landscape (ACReSAL), Alhaji Shehu Mohammed, explained that the loan was designed to support rural communities and farmers’ groups in undertaking agricultural investments.

The national coordinator of ACReSAL, Abdulhamid Umar, expressed happiness with the acceptance and understanding of the project by the people of Yobe.

Beneficiaries Maryam Aliyu and Babagana Garunguna appreciated Governor Buni for the loan and promised to utilize it for the intended purpose.

This initiative is part of the State Government’s efforts to promote economic growth and development in Yobe State.
