Area 2 Command Onne, Rivers State, under the leadership of Area Controller Muhammed Babandede, has been honoured with best anti- smuggling activities award for saving lots of lives from destruction through seizures of arms, ammunition and drugs.
The Command was recognized for its achievements in anti-smuggling operations by the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi at the CGC award night held on Friday, 29 November 2024, in Abuja.
Speaking on the award, Comptroller Mohammed Babandede appreciated the CGC and dedicated the feat to collaborative effort of all Officers and Men of the Command, saying, “Team efforts led to this success. I could not have done it alone, if not for the role every Officers and Men in the Command played in ensuring public health and safety of lives”.
He commended the unrelenting efforts of his Officers and hope for more diligence in the discharge of their duties especially in achieving set mandate.
