As part of effort to familiarize self with Area Commands under his jurisdiction, the Zonal Coordinator of Zone B, Assistant Comptroller General of Customs (ACG) Sambo Kaliel Dangaladima has visited Kebbi Area Command on Friday, 8 November 2024.
This was disclosed in a statement signed on Friday, 8 November 2024, by the Public Relations Officer, Kebbi Area Command, SC Mohammed Tajuddeen Salisu.
According to the statement, the Zonal Coordinator commended CAC Ernest Ojike and his officers on the impressive achievements recorded so far.
“He emphasized the need to urgently address the security challenges facing Kebbi State stressing that Customs leadership believes more on the Command to achieve this mandate.
“A secured Kebbi can only be achieved with a mutual relationship between the Command, sister agencies, stakeholders, and traditional rulers.
“The CAC equally held a closed door meeting with stakeholders charging them to be compliant in their trade and also urged them to abide by Customs extant laws during cross border trade.
“Similarly, in line with the vision of Comptroller General of Customs, CGC Adewale Adeniyi, of promoting Work Life Balance and Capacity Building, the ACG commissioned 5 A-side football pitch and E-library/Learning Centre, fully sponsored by stakeholders, who have continued to sustain cordial relationships with the Command.
“He concluded the visit by paying homage to the emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar CFR, mni to seek his blessings as he retires back home,” the statement read.
