The Commissioner of Police, Western Port Command, Apapa, CP Ibrahim Alarabe Maikaba has on Thursday, 8 November 2024, paid a courtesy visit to Divisional Police Officer, Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Christiana Ohai to familiarize and create good working relationship with Officers and Men within his jurisdiction.

During the visit, CP Maikaba noted that the visit is to establish positive relationships with the division, strategic Stakeholders and also strategize on improving policing Services.

The Commissioner commended the division under DPO Christiana Ohai for bringing their expertise to bear in mobilizing critical Stakeholders, other members of the Community and also ensuring the area is crime free.

While fielding questions from Transit Newsng on area of expectations and synergy, CP Maikaba informed that the working conditions of the division will in due time be improved especially on the available logistics.

“We will work on the working environments, improve on the available logistics. The government has done so well in area of well fare of the Men.

“I want the Officers here to be more professional, people friendly, make sure the area is well secured and crime free. For the Stakeholders, I commended them for the support they are given the Police and enjoined to do more. Also I just related with CAC of Apapa and Port Manager and we are having strong synergy which we will continue to improve on,” he said.

Overwhelmed by the presence of the August visitor, the Divisional Police Officer Ohai appreciated the CPO for his visit, expertise and leadership process with maximum salute.

CPO Maikaba was appointed 32nd Commissioner of Police, Western Port Command Apapa, Lagos on Monday, 16 September 2024. He is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring maximum security at the Ports and also contribute to trade facilitation.
