.Says a thriving port industry vital for economic growth

The Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN), has concluded plans to hold a Roundtable talk-show with Nigerian Port Consultative Council (NPCC).

The reputable personality selected for this important programme is the Chairman of NPCC himself, Mr BOLAJI SUNMOLA.

The programme, which is a well thought-out initiative by MAJAN to add value to the maritime industry, will focus on activities in the port industry and measures that should be put in place to rejuvenate the sector for greater productivity.

The programme slated for Thursday, October 24, 2024, will take place at MAJAN World Press Center, Apapa, Lagos.

The event is going to be the best of its kind, as the planning committee members of MAJAN have worked tirelessly to put everything in place for a successful occasion.

The talk-show is divided into three segments to allow robust engagement with SUNMOLA, the guest, who is well grounded in port operations.

The first segment will cover an overview of the sector, followed by activities in the port industry over the years and efforts by the current government to open new windows of investments for tangible growth now and in the long-term.

The programme will create a veritable platform for interaction between the guest and other participants coming to grace the occasion. It will also pave way for information sharing on the topic.

Addressing members of the planning committee, the National President of MAJAN, Comrade Jerry Aguigbo, expressed satisfaction on the choice of the Guest Speaker, describing NPCC Chairman as competent, experienced and highly knowledgeable in port operations.He gave assurance that the programme will provide ample opportunity for MAJAN members to learn new things and upscale their competencies in reporting activities in the port industry
