It was not the best of time for the players of Federal College of Education (FCE), Kano, as they succumbed to a defeat in a football friendly match with the Nigeria Customs Training College (CTC) team on Thursday, 3 October 2024.
In a statement signed by the college’s Public Relations Officer, Isa Danbaba, for the Commandant of the College, Comptroller Aliyu Ndayako, the Nigeria Customs Training College (CTC) secured a resounding 4-0 victory that attracted spectators and supporters from both teams.
The Commandant noted that the match is in line with the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Adewale Adeniyi’s initiative of institutionalising work-life balance.
He encouraged officers and men of the college to embrace teamwork, emphasising the importance of physical exercise in promoting mental and physical well-being. He urged regular participation in the weekly sports activities held every Thursday evening.
“The event demonstrated CTC’s commitment to work-life balance, in line with the CGC’s directives, fostering camaraderie and fitness among its personnel,” the statement read.
