Silver Jubilee Celebration

The Chairman of TinCan Island Port chapter of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Fwdr. Chief Dr. Emeka Paul Chiedozie, has lauded the Customs Area Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service, Tincan Island Port Command, Comptroller Dera Nnadi for quick response to salient issues at the Port.

Chief Chiedozie, the Chief Executive Officer, Seagold Maritime Services Ltd, a thriving freight forwarding outfit, made the commendation in Lagos on Thursday, 12 September 2024, after the celebration of NAGAFF’s Silver Jubilee which took place at the association’s headquarters in Apapa, Lagos.

He praised the CAC for introducing huge reforms and rebranding the command with positive changes in operations.

Analysing how the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has made export documentation seamless, Dr. Emeka noted that freight forwarding operations at Tincan Island Port is moving towards international standards even as documentation of export now take place at Lilypond Command.

He also commended other agencies who collaborated with the CAC to ensure TinCan-Mile 2 Access Road is permanently free of shanties.

Dr Emeka Chiedozie, a PhD holder in Art, Business Management and Corporate Leaders stressed that freight forwarding operations at Tincan Island Port is moving towards international standards.

The Chairman who doubles as Managing Director, Treasure Garden Hotel & Suites equally appealed to relevant government agencies to curtail activities of non-state actors who are constantly harassing and making haulage business difficult to truckers with harassment and extortion.

At the celebration of the 25th year anniversary of the association, NAGAFF revealed plan to acquire a new Secretariat worth N500 million and also inaugurated committee to oversee the acquisition process.
