Tin Can Island Container Terminal, operator of Terminal B, Tin Can Island Port has appointed Philips Ojo as Head Corporate Communications.
In a statement made available by the company, this development is to solidify the Company’s status as the leading terminal operator in Nigeria and position the company for its next strategic level growth phase.
Phillips Ojo is expected to lead and oversee the Company’s Corporate Communications strategies and initiatives.
Ojo will spearhead internal and external communications, brand management, CSR and sustainability, stakeholder engagement, advertising, and social media management.
Ojo, a former staff of SIFAX group, is a communications professional with a background in journalism and corporate communications. He began his career as a journalist with Daily Sun Newspaper before joining the corporate communications department of SIFAX Group in 2015 and rose to become a Deputy Manager in the department.
He is a graduate of Masters of Transport Planning and Logistics; B.Sc Mass Communication (Journalism) and B.A. History and International Relations from the Lagos State University.
He is also an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and has attended various trainings at the School of Communications, Pan Atlantic University; Orange Academy; Wordslingers, Webloft Concepts, and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.
