The Maritime Journalists’ Association of Nigeria (MAJAN), heartily extends warmest congratulations to Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho on his recent appointment as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
In a statement signed by President of the Association, Comrade Jerry Aguigbo on Wednesday Morning, he said Dr Dantsoho’s wealth of experience and dedication to the maritime industry make him a valuable asset to the critical agency.
The statement partly read, “As an insider who has served in various roles within the NPA, we have high expectations for your leadership. We believe that your expertise will contribute significantly to the efficient delivery of port services and improved industry outcomes. Your Doctorate degree in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University and your Master’s degree in International Transport from Cardiff University of Wales further underscore your qualifications for this role.
“We also commend the outgoing MD, Mohammed Bello-Koko, for his achievements during his tenure. Bello- Koko during his time as the managing Director of NPA,soared beyond everyone’s expectation.We wish him continued success in his future endeavors.
“Dr. Dantsoho, we look forward to a robust working relationship between the NPA management and Maritime Journalists, particularly the Maritime Journalists’ Association of Nigeria (MAJAN). There is also a need to prioritize workers’ welfare and ensure continuity from where your predecessor left off. The maritime community eagerly anticipates positive changes under your leadership.
