Just as the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) under the aegis of Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju, felicitates Adebayo Sarumi on his eightieth birthday anniversary, the PG has described the much respected former Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Managing Director, as a detribalised, erudite and a seasoned Maritime Administrator of repute.
Pa Sarumi, who also managed the administrations of NPA and the Nigerian Shippers’ Council simultaneously during his hey days in the public sector, was said to have lots of respect for traditions and hence was decorated in the South West and South South parts of Nigeria respectively, given his commitment and dedication towards the development of the country’s economy through the Maritime sector.
Prince Adeyanju also stated that the revered double Chief Sarumi has proved his mettle and astuteness as the Doyen of the Maritime Industry until his befitting retirement from service.
According to a statement by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN, Prince Adeyanju and his entire Union executives wishes Chief Sarumi a memorable and prosperous birthday and prayed that the Almighty God will grant him good health, prosperity enmeshed in longevity as he gracefully progress in life.
