… Says Command Generates N36.6 Billion from January to May 2024

The newly appointed Acting Assistant Comptroller General, Human Resources Development, Nigeria Customs Headquarters, MM Tilley-Gyado has recounted the achievements of Kirikiri Lighter Terminal(KLT) Command under her watch while handing over the Command to the new Customs Area Controller, Comptroller JE Edeldouk.
Speaking at the handover ceremony held recently at the Command, Ag. ACG Tilley-Gyado revealed that the Command generated N36.6billion revenue between January and May 2024 which represents a 55% increase when compared to the revenue of N16 Billion recorded in the same period in 2023.
she added that the Command under her watch has successfully revitalized operations and expanded terminal availability. “Kirikiri Lighter Terminal has also transformed from a Simple Export Transit Hub to an Export Processing Terminal (EPT),” she said.
While speaking on the charisma of the Command’s new helmsman, the Ag. ACG extolled her successor’s ability saying she has the aura to take the Command to the next level.
She equally extended her gratitude to the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi and his Management team for giving her the opportunity to serve and also appreciated Officers, Stakeholders and sister agencies for their cooperation, synergy and solicited their support for the incoming Customs Area Controller.
On her part, the new Customs Area Comptroller, Comptroller JE Edeldouk pledged to consolidate on the successes of her predecessor and work with the CGC’s policy thrust of consolidation, collaboration and innovation solutions.
“In Customs, revenue is our number one key performance index [KPI], so I implore all of you to please join hands with me to take our revenue to the next level. To our stakeholders, I want to say thank you so much and I’m looking forward to having a robust working relationship with you. I will also implore everyone to please feel free to come forward with suggestions on how to take this command to the next level, as I will operate an open-door policy just like my predecessor,” she said.
She further extended appreciation to the Comptroller General of Customs and his Management team for giving her the privilege to handle the affairs of KLTC, promising to serve with unwavering commitment and humility.
