In a bid to strengthen collaboration with Ikateland Monarch as well as enhance women empowerment in the Country, a delegation from the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Lagos State Chapter on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, visited His Royal Majesty (HRM) Oba Dr. Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Oba of Ikateland, at his palace in Lagos.
The delegation led by NAWOJ Chairperson, Dr. Adeola Ekine extolled Oba Elegusi for his unwavering support and also presented a portrait gift to him as show of appreciation.
In response, Oba Elegushi, who commended the association’s efforts in promoting women’s participation in journalism, appreciated the gesture and also pledged continued support for the association in all ramifications.
He equally used the medium to encourage all journalists to be objective in their news reports and be diligent in the course of discharging their duties.
