As part of the transition process witnessed last week in all Zonal Headquarters and some selected Commands of the Nigeria Customs Service, Ag. Controller J O Adelaja handed over the mantle of leadership of the Federal Operations Unit, Zone D Bauchi to comptroller O A Salefu on Friday, 19-April-2024 at the unit’s Headquarters, Bauchi, in a colourful transition ceremony.
The outgoing Ag. Controller, who has been redeployed to Ikorodu Lighter Terminal, Lagos, appreciated Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR for the opportunity given him to serve as the Ag. Controller of the unit and also for the task ahead.
Complimenting the unwavering commitment and dedication of the officers and Men of Zone D Unit, Adelaja urged them to extend same gesture to Comptroller Salefu inorder to achieve the Service mandate .
“I must commend you for your sacrifices, determination and persistence throughout my stay as the Ag. Controller FOU ZONE D Bauchi, your hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence have been the driving force behind our collective achievement. I will appreciate it if this is extended to the new Controller who is fully welcome to the Command,” he said.
In his remarks, the new Controller of the ZONE praised Almighty God for the privilege given to Commandeer the unit and conveyed his gratitude to the CGC and his management team adding, we’re here to contribute our quota of ensuring that the mandate of the service in revenue generation,anti smuggling,trade facilitation and most importantly National security is achieved.
He further seek the support of the Media and cooperation of the general public to carry out the new assignment.
