…As TCIP Command Hosts Iftar, Ushers in Easter Celebration

The Customs Area Controller Tincan Island Port, Comptroller Dera A Nnadi mni, has urged Stakeholders present at a dinner organized by the Command to celebrate the 18th day IFTAR with Muslim faithful as well as usher in the celebration of Easter with Christian brethen, to be diligent in promoting national growth and development.
Comptroller Nnadi made the call while welcoming other sister security agencies, Stakeholders of the port and gentlemen of the press to the get-together held at Tincan Island Area Command, highlighting the importance of coming together to uphold the nation in prayers for continuous development.
He urged all stakeholders to be dedicated in their respective fields towards national growth and development.
While appreciating the Stakeholders presence, the CAC applauded the Port Manager, Mr Sylvester O Egede who recently assumed duty at the port and has achieved a great feat due to the existing synergy between Customs, other Sister agencies, as well as the media who has always shown the activities of the port positively.
Comptroller Dera Nnadi spoke highly of Mr Egede’s feat at the port within a short time of his arrival and urged all stakeholders to be dedicated to working for national growth.
Comp. Nnadi also expressed his appreciation towards the collaboration received by truck operators and crave that they should endeavour to understand that the resolved traffic situation is a positive development that will encourage seamless vehicular movement and multiple turnovers within a short time to the port, as compared to what was obtained in the past.
He said the traffic situation has caused deaths to some road users and adversely affected government drive for trade facilitation and ease of doing business.
Responding, the Port Manager of Tin Can Island Port Mr Sylvester O Egede gave insight of how combination of long standing work experience, environmental awareness and institutional knowledge contributed to solving the traffic challenge that obstructed the flow of vehicular movement from Mile 2 to the Tincan Seaport.
